Proposal

Hello Prometheus, 👋 from opentelemetry-collector-contrib. In the spirit of open-telemetry/opentelemetry-collector-contrib#36699, we are looking to get rid of all AWS SDK v1 usage in otel collector since AWS SDK v1 is EOL on 7/31. From what I can tell this repo still depends on AWS SDK v1: https://github.com/search?q=repo%3Aprometheus%2Fprometheus%20github.com%2Faws%2Faws-sdk-go&type=code Wonder if you have any plans to migrate from v1 to v2?
