Allow the user to configure a volume of the instrument part of the song when the player is failing. Also it will be nice if when the player fails, the instrument part didn't when all the way down to the selected volume at once, but that it could be decrement and incremental, same thing too when hitting the correct notes again and raise the volume back.
Use case
This is helpful when you are in a party, where most people might be playing the game for the first time. I think that not be able to hear your favorite song while playing because you are not good at the game is a little off putting to new comers. Some times you just one to hear your favorite song in a party and fool around for a bit.
Extra info/examples/attachments
I see it is already possible to silence failing note sound, which is a good start. What I been doing as a workaround for now, it's to create song.ogg files which combines all instruments, that way even if one players fails on an instrument, the song keeps playing as it was nothing, and I put the failing note noise all the way down.
