Description

Distribution

arch linux, sway

Package version

6.4.5

Frequency

Always

Bug description

Dragging (from firefox) an image from a website where deeplinks are blocked and dropping it on nemo fails to save the file. The same procedure does work properly under X11.

Either an error dialog showing retry, skip and a bunch of other buttons is shown or a stuck file transfer progress bar is shown.

Corresponding Firefox issue: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1809010

Steps to reproduce

  1. run nemo and firefox under wayland (e.g. swaywm)
  2. go to https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/131260092
  3. drag the main image to nemo

Expected behavior

The original image file is saved, like under X11.

Additional information

Note that Nautilus handles this partially, but incorrectly. It stores the pixel information as a png, not the original file that would be saved if one used the file saver in the browser.
