hi, thanks for making access to the library that comfortable.
I am wondering whether any of you experienced this:
When downloading, the chosen mirror is slow, you want to change the it in settings and wait for the next download to use that very mirror.

Instead of the desired behavior, there is no change in mirror.
I tried:

  • changing mirror while active downloading
  • changing mirror while stopped downloading
  • changing mirror while active downloading, then close and start the app
  • changing mirror while stopped downloading, then close and start the app.

I can not understand the error since it has worked in the past but I think it was a previous version of the (mobile) desktop app.
Also, I did run the mobile version until the synchronisation stopped working after updating to v1.4.1,
then installed a desktop version. I dont think that this causes the behavior but wanted to give that information.

Isnt it possible to select a primary download target ?
I think this is the error I described.
What is the criteria for the app to change mirrors ?
I am unable to get the app to change the primary mirror.
neither c:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\LibgenDesktop\libgen.config
nor the respective path with the mobile app would accept a change of primary mirrors, let alone the change in the GUI itself

Hello, Remember the servers can change their file structures at will, with that being said, on previous iterations what I have done is to manually verify the links and if something fails, I go to the respective server and read the direct download address and if something is different I make the corrections and recompile to get a fully working version. I have not being able to find an automated way to do the checks but I was thinking to add to the interface a working link as input field and then just parse it under the hood to not having to recompile everytime someone presses a button on the host.
