Description
When converting a document from Markdown or HTML to ODT format using the -t parameter, if a footnote appears within an italicized or bold paragraph, the footnote text is incorrectly styled in italic or bold. It should appear in the default (normal) style. (This issue does not occur when converting to DOCX.)
In the example below, the issue does not occ 5A8F ur when converting without the -t parameter (e.g., pandoc a.md -o a.odt). However, the footnote is not formatted properly—it appears as plain text at the end of the document instead of being rendered as an actual footnote.

Strangely enough, this man looked like a Slavic[^3], bore a Russian name, but the words that came out of his mouth were in Chinese.
“If it’s just about hunting, I’d rather go to South Africa,” James said, his gaze now fixed on the only woman among the five. “May I ask, what is the lady’s name?”
