Could lazycast be run on a read only storage? To reduce wear-and-tear of SD card which has the system installed.

I think it should be after some small modifications. There are a couple of spots that write text files to the disk. One is udhcpd.conf in all.sh. Another is edid.txt in d2.py. You can probably comment these file operations out if you have the files already in the same directory.
