Feedback

In trying to install and configure the Insteon integration, I found that there are a number of items that are not discussed. these include:

  1. in the docs, it says under "Add default links" that this adds a set of default records needed for the device to communicate... does this mean that we need to do this manually for every device added? or is this only sometimes (and if so, when?)
  2. ALDB information: such as what the fields in the ALDB record are for, why would you want to edit the database?
  3. The Link multiple option does not have any details... how does it work? (in trying it, sometimes things showed up and sometimes they did not, and sometimes I think I messed up the device's links).

@dstrohl, i had e 946D ssentially this same question, and several other related ones. the question got no response and the issue was closed.

i'll be curious to learn if there is some more appropriate way way to pose questions to integration owner and/or to other users.
