Version 1.2
Changes
- Removed power-up protection diodes from drivers, since they are not needed in this design (3.3V/5V power rail is always powered up after 24V)
- Switched small MOSFETS to SOT-23 package for easier assembly and repairing
- Sense resistors on drivers are now 0.1 Ohm. Max 2.3A current for steppers (fixes #1)
- Redesigned driver layout
- Switched STATUS_LED from an JTAG pin with PU to a normal PIN
- Connected DIAG pins from drivers to MCU
- Changed 01x03 jumper for FAN voltage selection to 02x03 jumper (2A max current)
- Reversed heater connection orientation for 90° angled connectors
- Added some silkscreen information for header connections
- Some small copper pour optimizations
- Add thermal relief for DC/DC switcher module
- Fixed part number for 02x20 pin header in BOM (SMD)
Known issues:
- SDA/SCL are switched for the PI HAT EEPROM. This will be fixed in the next iteration.
Version 1.1.1
Changes
- Changed footprint of D10 for SMD footprint and not thermal relief footprint.
Version 1.1
Changes
- Changed default solder mask clearance from 0.2 to 0.05
- SD card detect of onboard SD card reader is now connected to GND
- Changed 3.3V LDO to a LDO with better short circuit protection
Known issues:
- None
Version 1.0
Initial release
This is the first release of Heteromycin. I'm pretty sure that it is feature complete and I try to make future board versions future compatible, but until the board has been thoroughly tested this can't be guaranteed. This version is for now marked as a developer board.
You can use TMC5160 and TMC2160 stepper driver with this design, but there is no benefit choosing one or the other except the price and availability (The board doesn't use the encoder unit of the TMC5160 since Marlin doesn't support it and for now it's better to let the MCU handle the movement using the S/D interface).
