Annotation , Status isn't persisted unless Annotation is dirty

Using annotation() to create an annotation, include the Status field in the call, the Status field appears set in the Annotation dialog, but it has not been persisted to the DB. Close the Annotation without making a comment, and when it is re-opened the Status is not set.

If you make a comment on the initial Annotation screen then the Status is persisted.
