.texi files for documentation in Texinfo format currently cannot be annotated automatically.

The files often start with \input texinfo, which may not be preceded by any other line. Below that line people often include an Emacs mode cookie comment such as @c -*-texinfo-*-.

Below that any other comments can be added. Comments start with @c.
