Background playback on iOS is not working. In some instances, I can turn on screen-in-screen mode, and it persists even after I turn off the screen.

It can sometimes be a bit flakey. Have you tried entering picture-in-picture, leaving the app, and then locking the screen?

Yes, your solution occasionally works, but it’s still not very reliable for podcast listening. It would be great to improve its reliability, though.

I'd love to improve this, but I haven't yet found a way. I'm just flipping a switch, everything else is sadly up to YouTube & iOS.
