winload.exe can't be patched, Vista 6.0.6003.22814

I have an old Vista laptop that I have updated to 2024-08 with ESU updates for Server 08 and I went to run the PAE patcher, but couldn't get past winload since it failed to patch. The version of winload is 6.0.6003.22814 and the program doesn't seem to recognize it. Would it be possible to have this fixed? Seems like this program doesn't work on newer Vista kernels post-EOL.
