Mathjax block from markdown not rendered in present mode #1892

Description

The mathjax code blocks are rendered nicely in a side-by-side preview, but when I open the same document in the present view (without the markdown source) the LaTeX code is displayed. Clicking on the code block brings a popup with the rendered formula, but my intention is to have formulas visible in the context of the document, not in a popup. I think it's a bug, but maybe it's by design?

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open your "Markdown Guide: Extensions" document in present mode

  2. Observe that mathjax blocks are not rendered

  3. Click on a block to see a popup
