The following issues need to be addressed to improve and get the Federation flow up and running:

If the pairing failed, it shouldn't create a node on the destination.
The pair link parsing in the email invite should be fixed when https:// is included
Sync data is broken due to the Great Dal migration, this should be investigated
The existing Docs are really outdated, and will require an update
