Hi there,

I just wanted to drop in and say thanks. I needed a tool to record a short screencast GIF for a new project I put on GitHub, and I stumbled upon yours on AskUbuntu, and in the time I had, it was the only one I could find that worked and output good quality. It was nice to have a PPA for it too.

So thanks, and keep up the good work!

(Sorry if you'd rather me not post an issue for this, but I figured that most FOSS authors don't get enough appreciation... =)

I want to say thanks as well. This tiny script is the best gif-screencast tool there is on Linux.

Came here to do exactly the same thing this is the best gif recorder for linux around.

I'm also grateful for silentcast, but it's far less usable than the defunct Gif Recorder (see #32 and #31).

Another neat tool: the Peek animated GIF recorder. Nice UI, but it has serious memory and CPU issues.
