Name and Version

bitnami/kubernetes-event-exporter:1.7.0-debian-12-r36

What architecture are you using?

None

What steps will reproduce the bug?

The upstream repo is from resmoio.

  1. The upstream repo seems to be not maintained for a while, PR not merged
    Is this still maintained? resmoio/kubernetes-event-exporter#207

  2. There should be known problem in the upstream, like
Large number of events are missing, the same event can only be received once resmoio/kubernetes-event-exporter#197

I would like to know if Bitnami's kubernetes-event-exporter has fixed the known problems in the upstream?

What is the expected behavior?

No response

What do you see instead?

Bitnami/kubernetes-event-exporter will have a stable release with known bugs fixed.

Additional information

No response

Hi,

Our automated release process tracks the upstream releases, and packages them accordingly. Therefore, if upstream didn't merge any of those changes, these will not be present in the bitnami/kubernetes-event-exporter container. From time to time we review the upstream projects and, if any of them is not maintained, we deprecate the solution.

Hello,

I think the upstream project has been idle for a while.

There are several clones of kubernetes event exporter from Resmoio.

I am not sure if it is time to switch to other repo as the upstream.
e.g. from Linkedin
https://github.com/linkedin/kubernetes-event-exporter
