To reproduce: upload new spreadsheet into a new expedition and mark as private.
Querying on this expedition while logged in with same user account as the one that loaded does not return the expedition.
Going to expedition metadata and marking as "public" and re-querying returns results.

This was a design decision that we made a long time ago...

private projects are excluded from query results.

maybe something to revisit?
