I didn't use shep to start a project but I'm slowly converting one to use it. I didn't have a top level lambda.json and nothing worked. I think we should be able to safely ignore if it's missing.

We get very weird errors if the following keys are missing.

  • handler

The role is the only thing that's difficult to not have centralized.
