Unable to probe or pay a Fedimint gateway

When I try to send to the Bitcoin Atlantis gateway, which is a public fedimint on Fedi Bravo, I get the following error every time:

failure: UnknownNextPeer from Fedi us-east-1 [fedi.xyz] on 0x0x22 forwarding to 02e2c43a360cb3b2

I'm not sure the reason for the error because LND alone works fine and other clients I have tried like Minibits work fine for the invoice.
