Quite a few users complained about the swipe actions not being intuitive enough or easy to act by mistake. I'm open for suggestions here. I'll try to improve on this in future releases.
I'll consider bringing that back.
Others complained about it. This will be back in 3.0.3.
Hopefully you find the upcoming updates in v3 better than v2. I'm not supporting v2 anymore. |
In addition to pausing a break, it would be nice if there was an option to skip the break and carry over the rest of the time to the next break (which would be in the vein of the more flexible count-up mode). |
Thanks for the warning, ungive. I was about to try and revert back to v.2. I will have to think hard whether I'm ready to manually re-enter stats from at least the recent 3 months, though. The new immovable default tag is seriously getting on my nerves. adrcotfas, would it be possible to either be able to remove the new default tag, or at least make it editable? Currently it breaks all my naming conventions (all my tags start with capital letters), not to mention I have no use for it the way it is named (in my Italian localisation I now have a tag called "predefinito", thank you very much, what?) The new stats screen is breathtaking, indeed. :) Is there a way to turn off pause count? I realise there are scenarios where this kind of stats would be valuable, but being able to turn it off would be convenient. I, for one, didn't expect to see them counted and had to manually remove them from the timeline. Also seconding ungive on the swiping actions. The amount of gesture I've gotten used to over the years is not enough anymore. Now it has to be a loooong swipe to work. I use the timer mainly on a 8'' tablet, and the swipe takes about 1/4 of a screen. In absolute numbers it's much more screen ground than on a phone, I have to say. :) Also, what about the pre-notification signals? Have they been dropped for good? I was kind of hoping for pre-notifications on pause, but now they are gone altogether. Not a show-stopper, of course, still curious. Thank you for your work. :) I really appreciate having this app. |
I'll put that on my TODO list
My bad, I haven't really used the app on a tablet but I understand your pain.
That feature was introduced to allow users some time to their in progress timer in case they felt that they needed more time. |
You'll find some of the issues addressed here fixed in 3.0.3. |
What I was talking about was a possibility of pre-notifications for pauses. It's not about needing more time in the work session, but rather more about having a bit of a warning about the break ending soon when you're not looking at the device. The only way around this is always starting work sessions manually, which is too relaxing, imo. This way 5 minute breaks tend to turn into 15 minutes etc. :) But I see that it's not in the design. That's okay. :) |
Hello, I just updated to version 3.0.1 and would like to give some feedback.
Firstly I want to thank you for developing this app, I absolutely love it! It's great to see it being maintained and getting some love.
Unfortunately though, this new update comes with several issues for me:
Version 3 is usable for me, it's a bit of getting used to, but these are the things that stood out to me.
