Overview

The Spherix website was built using Astro, chosen for its speed and built-in blogging capabilities to support SEO efforts. To create a visually engaging experience, we used Spline for the 3D hero section, adding an interactive and modern touch to the design.

Project Goals

Spherix needed a marketing website to showcase their pricing, attract potential customers, and drive SEO-driven traffic to boost their marketing efforts.

Tech Stack

To meet the project's requirements efficiently, we utilized:

  • Astro: For simplicity, speed, and seamless integration of a blog for SEO.
  • shad-cn: As the foundation for the design system.
  • Spline: To bring the hero section to life with 3D visuals.

Features ✨

The hero section features a dynamic 3D element powered by Spline, designed to grab attention immediately.

Why Spherix

Image

This section leverages a bento grid layout for a clean, modern design that effectively highlights key selling points.

Spherix Modules

We use a custom component for this, which combine a shadcn tab component and our own custom slider.

We developed a custom component combining a shad-cn tab system with a custom slider. This modular approach ensures the section is reusable and efficient, essential for managing large amounts of data without bloating the codebase.

Challenges

The biggest challenge? Time. We were working under a tight deadline to deliver the website quickly so Spherix could launch it for marketing and presentations to investors and stakeholders. Choosing the right tech stack and strategy was crucial to meet this goal without compromising quality.

Learning and Takeaways

This project reinforced the importance of:

  • Strategic Planning: Picking the right tech stack and approach upfront can save time and ensure smooth development, especially under tight deadlines.
  • Efficiency and Reusability: Building modular, reusable components is key to managing complex data while keeping the code maintainable

Building the Spherix website was a fast-paced project that highlighted the importance of balancing technical decisions with business needs, delivering a functional and visually engaging platform on time.
