This is a feature request to add the ability to manually type out a timestamp, and manually edit existing timestamps as text. This would be useful for fine-grained timestamp control.
Timestamp format as text would presumably match how a timestamp already looks: (mm:ss). It could still be highlighted as it already is, but should be editable as text.
Example Use Case
User hits CTRL+J 5 seconds early. Playback continues for a few seconds.
The user pauses playback near, but not quite exactly where, they'd prefer to put the timestamp.
The user sees in the playback bar the number of seconds that they want exactly.
The user edits the text of the timestamp so it's in the perfect spot they wanted it to be at.
Existing functionality for adding/editing timestamps appears to be entirely through inserting a timestamp from the current point in time. (Unless I missed something in the Help: https://otranscribe.com/help/)
There is a workaround for the existing functionality though, making use of pause and "Jump to Time":
Pause playback
Use the "Jump to Time" feature to set the exact time
Insert automatic timestamp
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
