I want to purchase ElBraille with Focus, but not want to use Jaws. But when I look into the gesture settings of NVDA, I can't find any emulation keys for F1-F12. This means using Focus can't press F keys or ctrl/alt/win + F keys. In Jaws, the F keys are done by using a modifier key plus letter A to L, and this can be also implemented in NVDA.

You can define yourself emulated keys for F1 to F12 in the input gesture dialog and bind them the gesture you want (see the user guide for more details).
Of course this issue still stands if you wish NVDA to provide such gestures natively.
Since these keys and their function can be added to NVDA manually in the emulated section of input gestures dialog, I am not sure we should add all keys and possible key combinations to the emulated key section. This might be overwelming having them all by default. I am closing as won't fix. If you have strong arguments why we should add them by default, please comment and we can reopen. Note that the feature was initially meant to cover natively modifier keys and modifier key combinations only. F keys are not modifier keys, so that's why they were not included.
