Hi @DrewML – this repo hasn't seen a commit in over half a year.

Yet, the DevDocs still has a prominent notice recommending Baler for "Alpha testing."

Should this notice be removed? Has Baler development been abandoned?

I think better to use MagePack.v2 than continue with Baler

V2 of MagePack is inspired by Bale 8000 r and is better maintained.

I've tried it and it works :) Pretty good results with Magepack!

Since this is a similar issue I'll leave a link to my reply in a similar issue for those interested in using Baler (or another bundler such as the MagePack.v2 above) with other techniques to achieve fast pages and get high Lighthouse scores: #73 (comment)
