Hi,
I bet you know it, but the Twitter link from https://dred.io is pointing to a non existing account. Tried following it, that's why I'm using the Github-Issues instead.

The year is 2025 and your Dred editor still rocks. My main is Vim, but when for any reason I want to open a file in a GUI editor, Dred is great. Light, no nonsense.

That's all :) have a great day.

Thanks. I fixed those links.

Glad you're enjoying it. You might be the only person still using this! :)

In a world where all GUI editors compete on who will squeeze more useless features and AI agents in a VSCode fork and call it a "new editor" is good to have at hand a little, snappy, complementary text editor.

Maybe it's because I'm anyway a fan of minimalism and "distraction free" UI's, or old enough to having started writing web markup back in the '90 on the basic Notepad.

The only thing I abandoned is to find how I could make the top window bar follow the system dark-mode. It's still white.
