It looks like the new official MSX core (single chip MSX?, this one) doesn't support external ROM files or even floppy images. The only option is to load content from giant VHD file.
It looks like we need something similar to AmigaVision support to make it possible to run any content from MSX using that core. I've filed an issue on the core to support automation just in case it needs work to support it.
There is another core - MSX1 which does support rom and disk files, but for some reason zaparoo is unable to launch any content with it. It detects the core in the list, but is unable to launch anything.
