Just looking for ways to speed up the login process here.

Has anyone worked out a nice way to log in without entering a password? So meaning just entering email address, receiving authentication code, enter it and be done? That would speed up the process some as the user would not have to enter his or her password on top of the username and authentication key.

Another option would be an email which has a link to login right away with authentication code added to url or something. I know there are some plugins that allow temporary login. But why would we not be able to attach the access code to url so we do not have to enter it ourselves. Would be really convenient.

WebAuthn allows for that, but it's being implemented here (in #427) as a 2nd factor rather than a replacement.

FWIW I feel like a "Login with emailed link" feature (aka "magic login link") is out-of-scope of this plugin, and there are a number of existing plugins which provide that feature - at least 3-4 of them are in this search.
