we currently have partial code for both occurrence core and event core. but would like to focus on one to start.
our data is generally a better fit for event core. (sightings are occurrence core) But which one is a better fit for GBIF queries? are they equivalent? (e.g, event-core has an occurrence table). table requirements: https://www.gbif.org/data-quality-requirements-sampling-events https://www.gbif.org/data-quality-requirements-occurrences

@mobb We are only creating event core (currently). Should we also be creating occurrence core in light of the above questions?
