I would like to request that the bluedragon.xml file be replaced with a bluedragon.json file. By changing this file type would allow for greater and easier access to settings.

It is an interesting notion for sure. I have wondered that too at times, but the level of effort for the gain, isn't worth it at this precise moment. If someone wants to do it we'll happily take the code.
