There is some super out of date, documentation for things that don't work, and slightly comical documentation in the MODIS directory on main:

Has the title PROGRAM MOD15A2_to_obs twice.

true/not true? Why have a bunch of docs for this unsupported tool.

There is a directory snow which
https://github.com/NCAR/DART/blob/main/observations/obs_converters/snow/snow_to_obs.rst

which also appears to be a MODIS converter.
In addition to CICE MODIS #419 (modis_ist_to_obs_netcdf)

@hkershaw-brown and @mgharamti and I will take the lead on the leaf area (MOD15A2) and snow cover fraction portion of this MODIS doc cleanup.
