This application is for the 10-week, 60-80 hour, Nature's Notebook Local Phenology Leader Certification Course sponsored by the USA-NPN. This course will teach you how to create and implement a long-term Nature's Notebook phenology monitoring program at your site for participants of all ages, volunteers, and/or staff. The purpose of the course is to help you develop a sustainable phenology observation program that meets the programmatic needs of your organization, whether those needs be educational, scientific, or management related. With an established program in place you will also be contributing valuable observations of plant and animal phenology to the National Phenology Database. Once you are certified, you will be listed as a Certified Leader on our Certified Local Phenology Leader page, and your account will have a flag notifying data end users that you have been certified. Details of the course requirements, online meeting times, and deliverables can be found atÂ
