Mark Jamra

Mark Jamra has designed and produced typefaces for over 35 years. His lettering and typefaces have been shown in numerous exhibitions and have received awards from the Type Directors Club (TDC) and the Association Typographique Internationale (ATypI). He has lectured, conducted workshops and taught graphic design, type design and history at colleges in the U.S. and Europe. Recently, he retired from his position as professor of graphic design at Maine College of Art, thereby formally concluding a 30-year teaching career.

Mark is a founding partner of JamraPatel, a studio specializing in the design of multiple-script typeface systems, most recently for the African continent.
