So..consider this a limited sample size but we spent an hour trying to hunt Sinuous Adders and Sable to get egg drop but no joy.

The next day i camped them by myself and while dual weilding a sword and a mace, i was seeing "crushing" damage and thought, well, thats not good for eggs. So I unequiped the mace and just used slashing damage (with procs). Egg dropped off Sinuous.

The next day I hunted them with my group, who attempted it before i joined them and they couldn't get it to drop. I joined and told them my slashing idea and we went 4 for 4 on Sinuous Adders to drop the egg. Mage and Shaman pets were used. The bard changed her mace for a rapier and dual weilded a sword. So it seems blunt damage is the main thing to avoid when hunting eggs.

Hi, so this one gave me quite a time a few nights ago, took me a few hours to get a single adder egg. I knew something was wrong, as I did this quest before they changed the zone, it was never this hard. However after learning the trick, I have been redoing this step in about 10-20 mins tops to farm out some AAs.

Important to note, Adders that con as relatively weak, WILL NOT DROP THIS EGG. Quit killing all the snakes in the zone, it doesn't work! There are about 4 VERY specific spawns you need to kill. Between the River and Innothule Swamp zoneline, along the south wall, is a lizardman camp. There are 2 specific snake spawns on the west and east of this camp that need to be killed. I can confirm Deadly Viper, Sinuous Adder (the snake you want!), and 2 different named snakes occurring at these locations. None of them will con as relatively weak. Just kill these as necessary until a Sinuous Adder drops one. Hope this saves a few people some frustration/time!
