Eastern sub-mediteranean dry grasslands (Scorzoneratalia villosae)
Description (English)
Xeric grasslands of the sub-Mediterranean zones of Trieste, Istria and the Balkan peninsula, where they coexist with steppic grasslands of the Festucetalia valesiacae (6210), developing in areas of lesser continentality than the latter and incorporating a greater Mediterranean element. Includes the following communities; - Carici humilis-Centaureetum rupestris, Genisto holopetalae-Caricetum mucronatae, Chrysopogono-Centaureetum cristatae & Danthonio- Scorzoneretum villosae.
