  • The enzyme, found in all eukaryotes and some archaea, catalyzes the final step in production of the modified rRNA nucleotide N(1)-methyl- N(3)-[(3S)-aminocarboxypropyl]-pseudouridine (m(1)acp(3)psi).
  • This modified nucleotide is present in the small subunit of ribosomal RNA (18S in eukaryotes and 16S in archaea). cf. EC 2.5.1.114 and EC 2.5.1.108.
