Obsolete Delete AfD
editThe 2006 AfD for deleting this page no longer applies.
- The article has been rewritten to avoid copyviol.
- State Bar Associations are notable enough to have their own Template:State bar associations navbox which INCLUDES this very article. rewinn (talk) 03:46, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- That's a good reason to keep the entry, not such a great reason to blank the tag. Hairhorn (talk) 13:10, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
- Well, the tag is now misleading. Do we need a new discussion establishing that this page should stay? As it is, the talk page looks stupid. rewinn (talk) 03:55, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

Edit war
editUser:The Green Apron Club is a single-purpose account that has repeatedly added ( [1], [2], [3], [4] ) unsourced and POV material to this article, which have been reverted. So far they have chosen not to explain their edits or communicate in any way, despite notices on their talk page. I have left them a {{uw-ew}} warning and hopefully they will engage on this talk page before posting again. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 18:29, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
Looking to bring clarity to "Utah State Bar" as a legal society not a "State Agency" as the name has been allowed to imply for decades. — Preceding unsigned comment added by The Green Apron Club (talk • contribs) 14:53, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
Why keep deleting the post about Utah State Bars complaint filing process?
Duplicitous Complaint Filing Process
editIf a client of a Utah attorney desires to file a complaint about the attorney and contacts "Utah State Bar" believing it is a "state agency," the first of several two paid staffers will begin a complaint registering process designed to take 1-2 months however the complainant will not be notified of this.
The first staffer will request that the complainant submit the complaint online. The staffer will also claim that the attorney will be notified of the complaint. The staffer will eventually notify the complainant that the attorney has been notified of the complaint. The staffer will then ask the complainant if the staffer should request the complainants file from the attorney. The staffer will then notify the complainant that the file has been requested from the attorney. The staffer will eventually claim that the complainants file has been received from the attorney. The staffer will then notify the complainant that the complainant has 30 days to contact the staffer or the complaint will be closed. If the complainant contacts the staffer about pursuing the complaint further, the staffer will notify the complainant that that is handled by a different staffer and the complainant needs to contact that staffer.
After contacting the second paid staffer to pursue the complaint, that staffer will notify the complainant that the same complaint needs to be filed with them but it needs to be notarized first.
Eventually, the original staffer notify the complainant that Utah State Bar does not actually pursue complaints against member attorneys beyond accepting them and that the complainant needs to pursue the matter through the appropriate courts.
