It should be L.A. Reid not L. A. Reid. All sources (at least most of them) spell his name without the space. Funk Junkie (talk) 18:31, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Removal of unencyclopedic material
editPulled out some material, much of it poorly sourced, better suited to a tabloid than an encyclopedia. Jusdafax 00:41, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
Removal of dubiously sourced material
editPulled out material sourced to a gossip column by a single purpose account. Jusdafax 20:26, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
Formatted Article
editAdded a bit more biographical information as well as info about his tenures at LaFace and Arista Records into his current position at Island Def Jam Music Group. MusicalMe23 (talk) 17:40, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Rolled back off-topic comments
editI have rolled back off topic comments regarding Reid's actions on the X-Factor TV show. This Wikipedia talk page is for discussion of improvements to the article, thanks. Jusdafax 05:34, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
residence and mama
editThe article says he lives in NY and New Jersey. It says he lives with his wife in one state and his mama in another. It also says he flies to eat dinner with his mama once a year. several of these statements conflict, none are cited. Toddst1 (talk) 19:37, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
Article improvements, and photo placement
editThe article has been tagged and is in the midst of improvements, mostly regarding dubious material. I also see an editor appears to be determined to place the X-Factor photo of Reid at the top of the article, instead of in the X-Factor subsection. Perhaps it made sense to have the photo at the top when Reid was appearing on the show, but he is long gone. The editor in question, User:GageSkidmore has been asked to discuss the matter twice in the edit summary, on his Talk page, and now here. However he has chosen to revert and accuse me of "serious ownership issues" in the edit summary. I will re-revert, and I hereby ask again for a discussion. Others are welcome to comment as well to establish consensus. Thanks. Jusdafax 00:02, 11 August 2013 (UTC)
should this be included someplace in the article?
editIn a song from P!nk's second album Missundaztood, a song, and a video prominent on MTV featured P!nk seated across from a Reid lookalike, singing her song "Don't Let Me Get Me":
- "L.A. told me, "You'll be a pop star,
- All you have to change is everything you are."
- Tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears
- She's so pretty, that just ain't me'"
Just a thought once the article is beefed up.. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 05:08, 13 December 2016 (UTC)

Credible allegation of sexual harassment
editLA Reid was accused of sexual harassment by a former employee, Drew Dixon. In the HBO documentary On the Record, Dixon told filmmakers that Reid propositioned her in the early 2000s, and, when she refused, punished Dixon by undermining her career. Tgibson1989 (talk) 02:51, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
