[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Burning of the Parliament Buildings in Montreal, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Sources do not need to be given in the lede if they are present in the article body. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 22:01, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for your comments, @Sumanuil, however I also direct you to the Manual of Style, specifically on Lead sections. "A lead section should be carefully sourced as appropriate, although it is common for citations to appear in the body and not the lead. Whilst I acknowledge I may have gone overboard with some of the citation requests in the article, my point stands that the introductory comment is vague as I'm sure there's a way for someone to be able to add a couple of words as to why. Furthermore, as many people only read the lead section of an article, it's important that grand claims such as contributing to democracy are verifiable. I'll consider this further. - Maybe add some of the needed citations? - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 22:54, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
