Next?

[edit]

The next one after Summerslam is Payback emanating from Pittsburgh. Confirmed by WWE themselves. 2601:8C:C480:DE20:99E7:DBD6:2063:D3DC (talk) 21:02, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It was confirmed that Jey Uso will challenge Roman reigns at Summerslam so you could go and put that on there 63.139.174.123 (talk) 02:47, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Where was it confirmed? Have WWE officially announced it? Its not on their website. We need sources.

The sources are on other webs and scipts have been leaked 63.139.174.123 (talk) 19:48, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How is that confirmed though lmao, if it's not confirmed by WWE then assume it hasn't been confirmed yet. YoloMc8562 (talk) 02:33, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

McMahon family ownership?

[edit]

@JDC808: and I have been going back and forth over a sentence in the background section regarding this year's event being the first SummerSlam in which WWE is not under ownership of the McMahon family. I'm concerned that this is (as of now) inaccurate -- the deal to sell the company to Endeavor was announced in April but hasn't closed (the initial press release [1] said that it would be finalized in the second half of 2023, and as of now, no such announcement has been made). WWE and Endeavor will merge eventually, but as of now they're traded separately on the stock market. Vince McMahon has even been involved with the company in a creative capacity since April. It seems to me that he's still the voting-majority owner until the deal is finalized, but if there's a source that says differently, that's another matter.
