speaking fees controversy

[edit]

Something should be put in about her receiving money from various pro-israeli groups as speaking fees ( in violation of NPR's stated policies). This goes right to the core of her being a credible journalist. http://electronicintifada.net/v2/article631.shtml 97.91.187.161 (talk) 22:57, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting article, and I see the point. However I am not inclined to add it to this page:
  • Gradstein has not been an NPR reporter for about two years and the article you cite is from eight years ago, it is kind of a dead issue.
  • It would inevitably attract competing additions from the "Gradstein-hates-Israel" contingent. (I cleaned some of that out a while ago as being mere opinion.) The NPOV factual content of the page would be in danger of being buried.
If this page talked more about her vocation as a public speaker the reference you cited would be pertinent and deserve a sentence. Also if taking fees from pro-Israel groups were a current controversy I could see how readers of this page should be informed. Anyway, that's my two cents' worth, other people may have more persuasive other opinions. M.boli (talk) 01:25, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
