As you came to visit, do consider:
EVERY SINGLE PERSON I KNOW WHO CONFUSED CAUSATION WITH CORRELATION - ENDED UP DYING!
I do passionately believe in:
Wikipedia's Five Pillars:
- Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia
- Wikipedia has a neutral point of view
- Wikipedia is free content
- Wikipedians should interact in a respectful and civil manner
- Wikipedia does not have firm rules
One would think - 'Wikipedians should interact in a respectful and civil manner' - should be an easy one for ALL to follow' - I think just browsing through a few chats and exchanges - this might be the most challenging of all - sure, we are all human and a little passion is inherent - after 2,000 significant edits I have found this is almost never the case - and often no matter how polite you think you have been - someone will make an accusation.
US based Physician.
As a broad technicality becoming less active - but if I can help on a medical, science or technology article - I might have the energy to politely engage.
Things that folks are always using - and not always in a correct nor constructive manner, and we all WILL do this - eventually, it seems linked to WP:TENURE, WP:DEFEND THE REALM and of course WP:DEFENDERS OF THE FAITH.
For New Editors - from personal lessons learned, watch out for any slight hint of:
- WP:EW
- WP:WAR
- WP:EDITWAR
You might be correct about something, as in really super correct - you might even have used the talk section and waited for thoughtful debate - but watch for any hint of the Edit War accusation. It often comes at you in a subtle manner - the guidance might seem obvious, but it is often weaponized.

Wikipedia:Copyright Matters or WP:COPY https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Copyright_problems
WP:VERIFY WP:BURDEN https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Verifiability
WP:CLOSE PLAGIARIZING or more seriously Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing WP:CLOP - actually, I did not make that up - well, I actually did - it is in one of the above.
"WP:RAP" - Likely the most important as it supports pillar five - I have yet to see it referenced - and those who through around WP lingo - should understand WP:RAP - but is generally does not support their position - so it rarely gets used.
See: Wikipedia:The rules are principles
WP:RS - important but there a serious cavests Wikipedia:Reliable sources
WP:CITEKILL often many articles in an attempt to appear credible - just keep adding awful soft cites. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:CITEKILL&redirect=no
