Alain Ducellier

Alain Ducellier (5 May 1934[1] – 29 September 2018) was a French historian and professor emeritus at Université de Toulouse-Le Mirail who specialized in Byzantine studies and Christianity in the middle east.[2] He was the author or editor of more than 40 books.[3]

In 2004, a symposium was published in his honor: Byzance et ses périphéries : hommage à Alain Ducellier [4] He retired in 2003, and died on 29 September 2018 at the age of 84.[5]
