  1. (law) The process of recording a document, making a public record; recordation.
    • 1967, Mario Arrigucci, The Italian Trade Mark Law and Regulations, page 30:
      Judgements declaring the nullity, annulment, dissolution, rescission or revocation of a registered deed must be annotated in the margin of the recordal of the deed to which they refer.
