[edit]Pronunciation
[edit]Noun
[edit]persu (informal)
- (possibly humorous, possibly derogatory) Synonym of perussuomalainen (“member or supporter of the Finns Party”).
Usage notes
[edit]While the most common informal synonym for the party, the use of persu(t) is occasionally protested by the supporters of the party. This is in large due to its association with word like perse and persaus, which describe hindparts. Nevertheless, the term itself is not considered vulgar.
