kazlēns
Appearance
Latvian
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Apparently from kaza (“goat”) + -ēns, but the l is unexplained. But Russian козёл (kozjól, “male goat”), with an extra l, suggests an unattested word for 'male goat' (different from āzis) as the source.
