Usage notes
[edit]Since this adverb emphasises continuity, an ongoing process, it is not used with prefixed verbs whose prefix expresses the perfective aspect (something completed, concluded, achieved, or finished). By contrast, the possibility of inserting this adverb (or a synonym) in a sentence may indicate that the sentence has the imperfective aspect.
