The JRC in Brussels (Belgium)
The JRC headquarters, situated in Brussels, Belgium, host the office of the Director-General, who is responsible for the overall scientific, technical and financial management of the JRC.
The JRC in Geel (Belgium)
Geel is one of the six scientific sites of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre. Since 1962, the JRC facility in Geel brings together multi-disciplinary expertise for developing new measurement methods and tools such as reference materials.
The JRC in Karlsruhe (Germany)
The Karlsruhe site is the core of JRC research for nuclear safety and security. However, some other related research programmes are also carried out at the JRC sites in Belgium (Geel), the Netherlands (Petten) and Italy (Ispra).
