We warmly welcome you to Grenoble for the 2009 International Conference on Compilers, Architecture, and Synthesis for Embedded Systems as part of Embedded Systems Week'09 (jointly with CODES+ISSS and EMSOFT) to make this the premier technical forum for the embedded system research community.
The Program Committee of CASES consisted of 52 experts from academic and industrial research institutions around the world. We received 72 technical paper submissions. As always, the success of the conference heavily depends upon the hard work of the authors, and the experts who so assiduously review. The committee produced over 300 reviews with an average of about 4.5 reviews per paper. To further enhance the selection process, about 35 of the reviewers gathered together on the 26th of July in San Francisco to make the final selection of papers to be included in the program. This was a joint meeting with the CODES+ISSS program committee, and we felt that this strengthened the entire program. The sub-committee chairs, Dr. Erik Altman (Compilers), Professor Scott Mahlke (Architectures) and Professor Anand Raghunathan (Synthesis) did an outstanding job in coordinating the reviews in their respective sub-committees and helping put together the entire CASES program.
In addition to the CASES papers, the ESWEEK forum includes many exciting keynotes, tutorials, workshops, and panels, and we encourage you to participate. Two special sessions will be part of CASES. These are organised by Professor Margaret Martonosi, and Professor Vincent Mooney. CASES will host two workshops: a) the Compiler Assisted SoC Assembly (CASA) workshop, this year organized by Professors Li Shang and Robert Dick and, b) the Probabilistic and Resilient Architectures for Nanoscale Computing (PRANACOMP), this year organized by Professors Erol Gelenbe and Yehia Massound.
