Abstract

From the Publisher:

This book introduces the mathematical foundations of image processing in the context of specific applications in the four main themes: image enhancement, image compression, image restoration, and preparation of an image for automatic vision. This is the only teaching book on the market which deals with the topics in depth and great detail. All concepts are demonstrated with the help of small images that can be worked out by hand, and includes worked-out examples on all topics.
