Information Model for LARGeSCM Interoperable Practices

Abstract
Lean, Agile, Resilient and Green have been emerging as the main management philosophies to enhance competitiveness in the market increasingly turbulent and volatile. Companies and their Supply Chains have been implementing some management practices, in order to improve their efficiency. Many of these practices require interoperation among two or more entities. The failure in implementing these practices highlights the need of companies in improving their ability of interoperation. The interoperability is a required role in a collaborative Supply Chain. The present work provides a conceptual class diagram to support the implementation and assessment of interoperable practices, in context of LARG Supply Chain Management.

Steps Towards Cloud Governance. A Survey

Abstract
Special characteristics of cloud computing have enhanced its rate of adoption for small medium-sized enterprises. Its associated economic model allow for small actors to become more visible, and enable them to collaborate and integrate their solutions for competing with big players on the IT market. As means of exploiting these opportunities, there is a necessity for adopting of solutions which enhance the efficacy of in the cloud activities – cloud management – and allow the migration of business and operational aspects altogether – cloud governance – while integrating services in order to build complex, targeted, solutions for their customers’ needs.

Petri Net Model and the E-Application Development

Abstract
When developing software the time to design the software takes more time then development itself. Frequently we are challenged in developing software with speed of development and time required when software needs to be developed. Therefore, we have used the advantages of framework development approach, where we have developed strategic programming approaches. Concerning the e-application development, we applied it for electronic training system. The various different techniques were discussed. The system is designed to be intelligent and to propose the level of each participant of the system. With respect to generic usage, this paper tenders experimental methods, simulation techniques and information model for experimenting usage of electronic web-based applications. The project has been implemented and tested in practice. When TCP/IP protocols extended its development and we became frequent users of the internet, we could say that software development has changed. From traditional software development with .exe installation we are now increasing web software development which operates with client server protocols.

Acquiring Business Ecosystem’s Intelligence through Large-Scale Collaborative Systems

Abstract
The last years’ economic turmoil constitutes a real challenge for the small, medium and large entities from all over the world, whose yearly turnovers and profits are seriously affected by the collapse of the aggregated demand and rise of business risks. In this context, the finding of a long-term business partner becomes more difficult, as market conditions change rapidly, and so does the financial stability of the business entities. In this article, we discuss how valuable information can be extracted from the Business Invisible Web (BIW), the part of the collaborative Web (Web 2.0) used by business entities in order to make transactions and report them, by use of Large-Scale Collaborative Systems. The research literature has shown that valuable knowledge can be derived for predicting the dependencies between various business sectors from the economy. Such knowledge can be extracted from the Web and used in a variety of Business Intelligence tasks, such as choosing a new Merger or Acquisition partner (strategic decisions) or simply choosing between a variety of available suppliers (operational decisions).

Risk Management and Business Credit Scoring

Abstract
Risk management is focused on preventing the losses and protecting the company's asset base. Banks are most exposed to credit risk, so their goal is to minimize the losses that occur as a result of default or insolvency. Business credit scoring models are designed to estimate the probability of corporate default. In this paper we presented the business credit scoring model based on a decision tree analysis. The emphasis in the research is on the selection of the variables that are relevant for the business credit scoring model applicable to the Croatian financial system. In order to reduce the number of variables included in the analysis, we suggest the use of the Information Value and inferential statistical methods.

ERP System Database Environment Configuration Using a Web Application

Abstract
Implementing ERP systems is a high risk activity for every company. All implementations give rise to many open questions concerning the two primary issues of data and process.
This paper focuses on the issue of data and investigates how to automate some key implementation activities. Authors propose a solution for identified problems in the form of a web application for data management. Although the authors’ primary focus is in the academic perspective of ERP system implementation our results are also usable in industry, to automate key database settings implementation activities, which makes the scientific contribution of this article more valuable.

Cooperation of Academic and Commercial Sphere during the Implementation of BI by the Means of SaaS

Abstract
The article deals with the issue of the use of business intelligence (BI) software in the segment of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Czech Republic (Moravia-Silesian Region). A similar situation as in the Czech Republic will also is be in Central Europe. Attention is paid mainly to the introduction of BI tools in SMEs. It is discussed the suitability of the SaaS in this type of segment.
The results of the survey on ICT use to support decision-making in organizations of SMEs type in the Moravian-Silesian Region are also presented. Following the survey, the cooperation of academic and commercial sphere during the implementation and optimization of BI application in the form of SaaS is discussed.

The Enrichment of BPMN Business Process Model with SBVR Business Vocabulary and Rules

Abstract
Aspects of business process models’ integration with structured business vocabularies & rules are analyzed in this paper. Despite the fact that business process (BP) modeling has its long-lasting traditions in various areas of application, this discipline remains in the constant process of improvement and issuesolving. The paper deals with one of such issues, namely, the existing gap between BP modeling and specification of business vocabularies & rules. In not dealt appropriately, this may lead to some issues while developing, reading and interpreting business models themselves, also to miscommunication issues within and among the organizations dependent on such models, and so on. The gap could be diminished by the means of integration of BP models with business vocabularies & rules; the paper presents some argumentation to back such statements. Later, basic principles of the approach for BPMN BP model integration with SBVR business vocabulary & rules are presented and briefly described in this paper.

Analysing Customer Profiles using Data Mining Techniques

Abstract
Survival on the market and competitiveness of the companies often depend on the knowledge of spending pattern and customer preferences. Certain information can be extracted from the customer profiles, as for example, which products a particular customer or a group of customers prefers, what are the characteristics of the loyal customers, whether age, income, marital status or other factors have an impact on buying preferences.
We use several data mining techniques, such as Bayesian network, decision tree and neural network, to determine the factors that affect the spending pattern and buying preferences of the customers.

Increasing Actionability of In–House Corporate Prediction Markets

Abstract
Prediction markets have been used to generate various types of forecasts and predictions for nearly two decades. In-house corporate prediction markets are used for collecting and aggregating information dispersed throughout a company. Most of the existing academic research in the area of in-house prediction markets deals with the issue of accuracy. This paper focuses on a different topic: the actionability of in–house corporate prediction markets. The actionability of an in–house corporate prediction market refers to the usefulness of the prediction market in the decision-making process in the company. This paper identifies two improvement factors that have the potential of increasing the actionability of in–house corporate prediction market: allowing for finer grain questions and providing signals for informational needs over a period of time.

Model of the New Sales Planning Optimization and Sales Force Deployment
ERP Business Intelligence Module for Direct Sales of the Products and Services with Temporal Characteristics

Abstract
Considering that direct sales today has significant share in the whole sales niche and that existing travelling salesman problem solutions still do not provide a comprehensive resolution for sales force deployment when selling products and services with temporal or periodic recurring, here we present a new method that combines business intelligence and easy-to-use graphical user interface to give the answers.
Module is self-learning due to implemented statistics with tendency for more accurate sales predictions as time goes by. Presented model is applicable in various industries like telecommunications, finance, pharmaceuticals etc. and capable of solving large-scale realworld problems in real time.
